Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Kuala Lumpur

Meet and greet on arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. After your immigration formalities you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening proceed for a Cultural Night Tour of Kuala Lumpur. a tour to the open-air bazaar of Chinatown, stroll through its popular nights markets, where people engage in hectic bargaining for merchandises. Visit Sri Maha Mariammam Hindu temple – the smell of burning jasmine,intricate carved deities and mystical aura combine to give you lasting impression of this religion. Next proceed to one of the tallest communication tower – KL Tower observation deck to enjoy night view of the city. Later enjoy buffet Malay dinnerand Malaysian cultural show. Overnight stay at hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2 – Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast take an early morning flight to Kota Kinabalu (flight cost is not included). Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon visit the Heritage Village & museum for a closer view of Sabah’s ethnic diversity highlighted by the unique local architectural styles of homes in North Borneo and the colourful costume display. Then, proceed for a City drive by major landmarks such as the State & City Mosque, Tg. Aru Beach & the highest building, Tun Mustapha Tower. Enjoy some leisure time mingling with the local people at the Handicraft market before stopping by a typical water village to capture the essence of life inKota Kinabalu.

Day 3 – Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast proceed for a Full Day Kinabalu Park & Poring Rainforest tour. The jagged granite peaks of Mt. Kinabalu (4095m) towers above one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. Nominated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Kinabalu Park is a natural wonder that offers day visitors a glimpse into the fascinating and often unique world of flora within the park. The montane oak-chestnut forest at Park headquarters gives way to lowland dipterocarp forest at Poring on the eastern boundary. Trek through the rainforest and witness life in the treetops as you walk along the 100ft high Canopy Walkway (If Canopy walkway is closed, it will be replaced with a visit to the Tropical Garden).

Day 4 – Kota Kinabalu

Morning free at leisure, you can walk around on your own around the city. In the afternoon you will taken on tour where you will witness Borneo traditional living. Each tribe have found ways to adapt to living in Borneo such as cooking using bamboo, starting a fire without matches,making ropes from tree bark, and using local plants to create a refreshing drink. Discover the architectural uniqueness of each tribalhouse as you walk through the cultural village while enjoying the serene jungle environment. Complete your Borneo experience with a live presentation of music and dance and savour traditional cuisine unique to Sabah.

Day 5 – Kota Kinabalu – Sandakan

Today take an early morning flight to Sandakan. It is the second largest city in Sabah and is a delight for nature lovers. Upon arrival at the airport you will be transferred to jetty for 45 minutes boat ride to Selingan Turtle Islands Park. The Island hosts one of the oldest turtle hatcheries in the world and is one of South East Asia’s most important nesting beach and breeding ground for the Green Turtle and Hawksbill Turtle. Upon arrival, register at the Parks HQ and check into chalet. The day is free for leisure. Stretch out on white sandy shores or go for a snorkel with the marvelous marine life that reign the underwater world. After dinner wait for rangers call to observe turtle laying eggs. Transfer the eggs to hatchery and opportunity to observe the release of baby turtles to the open seas.

Day 6 – Sandakan

After breakfast, check out. Fuzzy Orang Utans await at the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. A half hour journey ushers you into the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve where rehabilitating Orang Utans roam free in a natural habitat. A short video screening at the Nature Education Centre will then enlighten you on what goes on within the reserve. Proceed to the boardwalk amidst a lush lowland rainforest leading you to a viewing point of the feeding platform. It will be an easy 10minite track, well worth it as soon as you see the Orang Utans show up to grab some food. Later visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. After lunch you will be transferred to your lodge. In the evening enjoy a boat cruise along Kinabatangan river banks. Return to the lodge for dinner. A guided night walk to enjoy the wilderness of the jungle right after the dinner.

Day 7 – Depart Kuala Lumpur

After breakfast, you will be driven to the hotel for your flight back home.
